Officials with the Professional Fighters League promotion have announced that former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia has officially joined the company and will serve as the in-cage announcer for the promotion’s upcoming season that begins this coming May.
PFL is established as a regular season and playoff format in which mixed martial arts fighters compete for $1 million per weight class. The finals of the season are set to take place in New York on New Year’s Eve.
Garcia’s PFL debut will come on May 9. The fights for season two are currently set to air in the United States on ESPN2 and/or ESPN+.
Below is a statement from Garcia regarding her joining PFL:
”I’m looking forward to stepping in the cage and getting back to introducing fighters to the masses, something I truly love and have missed. What I find most intriguing about the PFL is that every fight matters. Each fighter enters the cage knowing they are competing for a shot at a title and million-dollar prize. There is so much drama surrounding that moment, and I’m honored to help bring it to life for fans in the arena and watching at home.“
