AEW Wrestler Chris Jericho has said former WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose would be "more than welcome" in the new promotion.
Ambrose, a WWE Grand Slam Champion, left the company when his contract expired earlier this month following rumors of being unhappy with booking and his character.
Speaking to Express Sport, Jericho said how the Lunatic Fringe would be a welcome addition to the expanding AEW roster.
He said: "I’m sure if he wants to come to AEW he’d be more than welcome.
"When you get a great performer, it doesn’t matter what company they were before because they’re in a top level.”
When asked, the first Undisputed Champion said he hadn't contacted Ambrose about joining, saying sometimes wrestler's need a break from the industry.
“It’s a grind, and not just the physical aspect of it but there’s a mental standpoint," he said.
AEW's first event 'Double or Nothing' will take place May 25, at the MGM Grand Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
