According to a report from Justin Barrasso ofĀ Sports Illustrated, longtime WWE backstage agent Dean Malenko has left WWE.
As fans may be aware, Malenko had been working behind the scenes in WWE since his retirement from in-ring competition back in 2001.
Longtime fans may remember Malenko for his time in WWE, WCW and ECW in the 1990s and early 2000s. Malenko captured numerous championships between the three companies, as he was a two-time ECW World Television Champion, a one-time ECW World Tag Team Champion, a four-time WCW Cruiserweight Champion, a one-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, a one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion and a two-time WWE Light Heavyweight Champion.
Barrasso's report notes that Malenko quit his job with WWE. No other details are known at the moment.
