AEW President Tony Khan Wanted CM Punk To Join Brand Above Everybody Else

In recent days news surfaced that CM Punk has been secretly showing up at small wrestling events in a mask for a number of years. He recently appeared at MKE Wrestling’s "The Last Knight" on Friday.

Dave Meltzer revealed on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio over the weekend that Punk was actually All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan's first choice to join the brand, above that of Chris Jericho and The Young Bucks.

Meltzer noted that Punk could make "really good money" if he were to join All Elite Wrestling.
