As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hitman” Hart was the victim of an attack by a fan during his speech at tonight’s WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York City.
In an update, one of the many videos from inside the venue that is currently making the rounds on social media show that both Hart and Natalya, who was there to accept the induction of the Hart Foundation on behalf of her late father Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, were actually taken down by the assailant before a slew of WWE talent rushed the ring to stop the assault:

Additionally, according to sources working tonight’s event at the Barclays Center, the name and age of the assailant have not yet been released by the NYPD; however, the NYPD says that the attack on Hart was planned in advance. Furthermore, the assailant has received a lifetime ban from both the Barclays Center and all future WWE events, and he will also be charged with assault due to the attack.
