On this day, March 22, in 1999, Stone Cold was once again at war with the Corporation. 

It had been months since Austin had last held the WWF Championship, which was now strapped around the waist of The Rock. 

Fearing that his most hated foe would soon regain the gold, Mr. McMahon put obstacle after obstacle in the Rattlesnake's path. 

Putting Austin in the Royal Rumble as the #1 entrant was just the first of many roadblocks that the Austin would go through, to get a guaranteed title shot against the Brahma Bull at WrestleMania 15. 

Showing he had no respect for his opponent or the Chairman, Austin appeared on the final RAW before the showcase of the immortals, drenching everyone who opposed him with beer. 

Mind games to be sure, and one that definitely paid off, as Austin would win the title at the pay per view, in the first of three epic Mania encounters between the two legendary Superstars.
