Today, March 20, 2019, marks exactly one year since Daniel Bryan was announced as medically cleared to compete.
Bryan, who rose to prominence as one of WWE's most popular stars in 2014, retired in 2016 after a series of injuries.
These injuries forced Bryan to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2014, and the Intercontinental title a year later.

During his retirement, Bryan worked as the General Manager of SmackDown Live, alongside Commissioner Shane McMahon.
Making his in-ring return at WrestleMania 34, Bryan teamed with McMahon to defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Nowadays, Bryan is one of WWE's most despised villains, turning on the fans in November last year to capture the WWE Championship, which he still holds today.
