Gallows and Anderson are currently appearing to be in a standstill with their contracts, and had went on social media to say they both were looking for new promotions to possibly join a week or so ago. Their contracts are both set to expire in September.
It seems today that WWE removed both tag team partners from future live events, so it's seeming more than likely they're going to be leaving WWE. The word is that they turned down a five-year multi-million dollar deals to remain with the company. They could appear on SmackDown Live and PPVs to put others over.
The reason why they want to leave to pursue their options is that WWE has not done much with them since they signed in 2016. There have been promises made to wrestlers about doing more with the tag team division on Raw and SmackDown Live. There’s only so much the company can do with their loaded roster.
Friends of Gallows and Anderson have indicated that they are likely to leave. They would be free to appear for any company after late September.
