Samoa Joe Wins WWE United States Championship On SmackDown Live

Samoa Joe just beats R Truth, Andrade, & Rey Mysterio in a Fatal 4 Way Match to become the new WWE United States Champion on tonight's WWE SmackDown Live.

This marks Samoa Joe’s first single’s title win on the WWE main roster.

There were reports recently that WWE had plans to elevate the status of the U.S. title as they feel it has got lost in the mix. Putting the strap on Joe could be a sign that the company plans to take the title more seriously going forward.
