This week, the guys are joined by WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair to discuss her reaction to replacing Becky Lynch against Ronda Rousey, on what it means to main event WrestleMania and more.
WNS Podcast Interview with Charlotte Flair
It was the best decision he (Vince McMahon) ever made. How can you have a women’s main event at Wrestlemania and not have Miss Wrestlemania herself there? So, I mean the word controversy that’s not how I look at the last few days
It would mean everything. It’s one of those things that I’ve been saying since I debuted on the main roster and believing that it’s really going to happen. I just go “Gosh, look how far the women have come.” I can remember my days at FCW in front of six or seven people. Then NXT. Then the storyline I had with The Four Horsewomen and just how far we’ve come all of us together. It’s just incredible. But saying that, when I win I want to dedicate my victory to my good friend Becky Lynch.
I feel like Wrestlemania 32 when I won the new Women’s Championship and retired the Divas Championship. It was an honor to have held the Divas Championship. But I think it was just saying “hey were re-branding the division. We’re giving it new focus and this is the direction we’re taking. You’re no longer called divas, you’re superstars.” I loved the term “diva” but I just think it was saying “hey, we’re going to make some major changes.” And every opportunity we’ve been given, we’ve over-delivered and I think that’s why we continue to get these opportunities
Being a multi Wrestlemania main eventer. It’s cool to say you did it once, but if you’ve done it twice, multiple times. That’s a big deal. Especially for a woman.
I guess you could say it just gets lonely sometimes but you’re never alone. It’s just so much traveling and airport time and rent a car time. But I can honestly say I love what I do. So, it’s just staying on track and staying motivated and the ones that love this through and through it’s not really work. It’s just some days are longer than others. It’s just if there’s a flight delay or if there’s bad weather when you’re driving that’s the only hard part. The wrestling part is the fun part, the best part. I mean, I take care of myself. I feel like I’m younger now than I was five years ago.
Some people bring meals on the road. I sometimes bring meals or just find whole food fresh markets or grocery stores in each town and pack my meals from there or find a healthy restaurant and get your meals to go from there. It’s just a matter of being consistent with what you’re eating.
Everything. Celine Dion to Elton John to Guns ‘n’ Roses to Dixie Chicks. Techno, I have it all.
Kurt Angle, Dusty Rhodes, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns
That isn’t something that I think about at all.
Yea after I win the Raw Women’s Championship. Totally.
