During tonight’s WWE Royal Rumble Kickoff Show, it was announced by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels that “Halftime Heat” will make its return next Sunday night.
The special event will take place on the WWE Network during halftime of the Super Bowl and will feature a Six-Man Tag Team Match, which will pit the team of NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano, and Adam Cole against the team of Ricochet, Aleister Black, and Velveteen Dream.
Additionally, Michaels will also be providing commentary during the match.
The previous edition of “Halftime Heat” took place back on January 31, 1999 and featured an Empty Arena Match between The Rock and Mankind, in which Mankind won the WWE Championship.
