Finn Bálor Reveals That He Wanted a 10-Year Contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling

WWE Monday Night Raw Superstar Finn Bálor was recently a guest on Edge & Christian's Pod of Awesomeness podcast and revealed that when he left New Japan Pro Wrestling for WWE back in 2014, he was actually looking to stay with NJPW for quite a bit longer.

Finn said the following:

“I was kind of like thinking more long-term and I remember asking, I’m 33 at the time and New Japan offered me a two-year contract and I’m like, ‘That’s a cool contract, but can I have it for 10 years?’”

“It was something to do with New Japan was owned by a video game company and that contract was only for five years so they could only give me a five-year contract.”
