Update On Mike and Maria Kanellis Requesting WWE Release

Over the last week or so we learned that Mike and Maria Kanellis requested their release from WWE as first reported Pro Wrestling Sheet. However, Maria denied those reports on her official Instagram, but insider sources confirming the initial report as true. 

Today, Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting the real-life couple were not on the road with the rest of the talent this week, which Johnson points out as odd. 

In addition, he reports that a WWE Network collection 'Power of Love' hosted by Mike and Maria is now not being added to the Network as scheduled giving further credence that there is something going on with the pair.

It will be interesting to see if they can work out their issues with WWE, if they do want out of their contract it is likely the company will make them sit out the remained given the increasing threat of competition right now.
