According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, the possibility of Super Bowl-bound New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski joining WWE in the future is “probably unlikely.”
Below is what Rapoport had to say regarding Gronkowski’s future:
”There’s a strong possibility that this is the offseason he decides to hang it up and potentially go into a second career, maybe in the WWE although that is probably unlikely. More likely from Gronkowski, he’ll try to be a movie star. As far as why he’d consider retirement, just think about this, he’s battled so many health injuries over the course of his career. He’s finally healthy now and feeling good but clearly not the same player. Gronkowski has a lot to ponder after today.”
Gronkowski last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 33, where he helped his friend Mojo Rawley eliminate Jinder Mahal to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
From @NFLGameDay: As #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski mulls retirement this offseason, it doesn't sound like the WWE is in his future. Perhaps movies, though. ... This is very important news. pic.twitter.com/S4obsWijRv
