On tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman was removed from his scheduled match against Brock Lesnar at the upcoming Royal Rumble event, which was to be for Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship.
The decision was handed down by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon after Strowman bashed a window and ripped a back door off of McMahon’s limousine in an attempt to get to Baron Corbin, then raised his voice to McMahon after telling him that his “piece of crap” limo wasn’t worth the $100,000 that he was also fined for the damage done.
In reality, the reason that this move was made, according to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, is that Strowman still isn’t fully recovered from his recent elbow surgery.
As of the initial reports, there is no word on who will take Strowman’s place at Royal Rumble for the title match against Lesnar, as Corey Graves noted that Lesnar has to defend the Universal Championship at the event.
