The odds of seeing Batista return in time for WrestleMania 35 for a match against Triple H have been slashed greatly.

Dave Batista has reportedly signed a deal to be apart of the upcoming Dune film with filming expected to start as soon as next month.

The film is described as a “feature adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel about the son of a noble family trying to avenge his father’s death while saving a spice planet that he is entrusted to protect.” 

As has been the case with both The Rock and John Cena, film studios will be reluctant to agree to Batista competing due to the risk of injury. Triple H is also still recovering from injury.
