During the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the reports that now-former New Japan Pro Wrestling Star Kenny Omega had been offered creative control by WWE in order to convince him to sign with the company.
Meltzer stated in his comments that WWE “rarely offers that perk” to their talent, “especially in the modern era.”
As previously reported, there are rumors that WWE has made a “fantastic offer” to Omega and that they were also doing everything in their power to sign him. However, there has been no confirmation whatsoever from Omega regarding where he will go next - only that he is finished with NJPW.
Meltzer further stated that regardless, Omega is expected to make a decision by the end of this month regarding whether he will sign with either WWE or the brand new All Elite Wrestling. Meltzer further commented that AEW officials remain confident that they will be able to sign Omega to a deal with their company.
