The impending heel turn of SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon has reportedly been cancelled, following the announcement that the entire McMahon family will run both RAW and SmackDown Live.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the turn, which began at Crown Jewel, was cancelled, but didn't specify why.
It is possible that the company don't want Shane to be perceived as a heel, with his sister Stephanie and Triple H already being hated by the crowd.
McMahon's heel turn began at the Crown Jewel event when he won the Best In The World tournament, and was developed further with his recent storyline with The Miz.
This week on RAW, Vince McMahon announced a new era in WWE, with himself, Shane, Stephanie and Triple H running both shows on the main roster.
