WWE Raw Live Coverage & Results (12/17) Sacremento, CA

Welcome to the live results for WWE Raw airing live at 8 EST!

The show opens with Vince McMahon making his way down to the ring.  The crowd is on their feet.  Vince gets a microphone and says you're probably wondering why he's here.  Vince says that Raw has been around for 25 years.  Vince says that things have to change.  Mr. McMahon says that he can't do it all by himself anymore.  He says that he can do it without the audience who is 'WHATing' him.  He says without further adieu...

Stephanie's music hits.

They hug before Stephanie is given a microphone. 

Triple H's music hits next. 

Triple H hugs Vince as well as Vince seems hesitant.

Shane's music hits next.

Stephanie says that they haven't been doing a good job lately and they haven't been listening to the audience.  She says that all of that is going to change here tonight.  Triple H says that tonight they will be taking back Raw.  Shane says that SmackDown Live is going through changes too.  Stephanie says that they're going to empower the Superstars and themselves.  Triple H says that they're going to give them everything they want to see and more.  He says there will be new superstars, new matchups, and the crowd is the authority.  Vince says that as long as they do this.  WWE will continue to be Then. Now. Forever.  Vince's music begins to play.

Baron Corbin's music begins to play.  He stands on the top of the ramp.  Corbin says that he welcomes this fresh start.  Stephanie clarifies that that is booing that the crowd is saying.  Corbin says he knows they're upset and he's happy the entire McMahon family will be running WWE Monday Night Raw.  Corbin says that there is one word that they forgot to mention.  FAIR.  He says that last night's actions were not fair.

Commercials.

We're back with Baron Corbin continuing to try to talk, but the crowd keeps booing Baron.  The McMahons toy with Corbin.  The crowd chants 'YOU SUCK' and the crowd cheers as Corbin asks if it's fair that he was attacked.  Triple H simplifies that he wants to know if he can be the new permanent Raw GM.  Shane says no, Triple H agrees, and Stephanie says there's No Chance in Hell.  McMahon says that there might be a way.  The McMahons huddle.  Triple H says that Vince is a genius and brings up a good point.  Triple H says that maybe everyone is wrong.  Triple H says that maybe he deserves a chance.  Triple H says that they give Baron that chance.  Triple H says that if Baron can win his match tonight that he'll become the permanent GM of Raw.  Kurt Angle's music hits!  The McMahons leave, but not before they announce a special guest referee.  Heath Slater!

 

Special Referee:  Heath Slater
Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin

 

Kurt Angle charges Baron in the corner before getting knocked back by Corbin.  Corbin tries for a charge into the opposite corner, but Angle moves out of the way.  Angle hits a release German suplex before Baron rolls out of the ring for a break.

A Commercial Break.

We come back with Baron standing over Kurt Angle.  Triple H walks back out and says that he forgot to mention something.  This match is a handicap match.  Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, and Apollo Crews come out!  Corbin meets them at the ramp before getting mauled by them.  Corbin is thrown back into the ring and takes three consecutive German suplexes.  Gable tags in and hits a German suplex.  Roode tags in as they do a whipping clothesline into the corner.  Crews tags in, but Corbin rolls out of the ring.  They catch him in the audience and throw him back into the ring.  All four circle around Corbin as Slater looks confused.  He goes to tend to the corner turnbuckle as Corbin is assaulted by all four men.  Shane McMahon comes out and says that he was all pumped up that he forgot to mention this was a No DQ match.  Slater begins kicking Corbin!  They bring chairs into the ring and lay into him.  Gable and Roode hit a double move before Crews hits a frog splash.  Angle hits the Angle slam, and it's good for the three count!

Winners:  Kurt Angle, Apollo Crews, Chad Gable, & Bobby Roode

Gable, Crews, and Roode go find a table after the crowd asked for it.  They set it up in the center of the ring and Angle hits an Angle Slam through the table!  The four men and Heath celebrate.

Ronda Rousey is here live tonight!

Dean Ambrose is also here and he has a new title.

Up Next:  Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler

We come back to Raw for them to congratulate John Cena for receiving the Muhammad Ali award.

They show a recap of last night at TLC where Dolph and Finn argued and Dolph attacked him.

 

Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Balor

 

They lock up before moving into the ropes.  Dolph locks in a side headlock.  Finn fights out before hitting an armdrag.  They stare off before Finn hits a snapmare followed by a kick to the back.  Balor nails a big dropkick to Dolph as he's knocked outside of the ring into a...

Commercial.

We come back to Finn chopping Dolph before hitting a big clothesline.  Finn trips up Dolph and hits a leaping double stomp onto his chest.  Ziggler rolls up Finn for a two count.  Dolph kicks him and taunts him.  Balor hits a big elbow into the chest of Dolph.  Finn hits the Slingblade before setting up for the dropkick.  Ziggler stops him with a leaping spike DDT for a two count.  Dolph beckons Finn to get up before trying for a Zig Zag.  Finn reverses it, climbs onto the apron, kicks Dolph in the head and climbs to the top.  Dolph stops him there with a big kick before hitting a Zig Zag for a two count.  Dolph sets up for the super kick, but Drew McIntyre comes out!  Ziggler leaps out onto him and beats him up.  Balor leaps over the top rope and hits a plancha onto Drew!  Finn rolls Dolph in and gets hit by a Fameasser for a two count!  Balor hits a Slingblade before Drew clotheslines Balor and throws him out.  Drew nails a headbutt to Dolph before pounding away on him.

Winner (by DQ):  Finn Balor

Drew continues the attack hitting Claymore kicks to both Finn and Dolph Ziggler.  Drew walks out as he glares at both men from the top of the ramp.

A shot of the Intercontinental Championship is shown before zooming out to show Dean Ambrose.  He grabs the title and makes his way towards the ring with four men in gas masks following him.

Commercials.

Dean Ambrose comes out after four men in gas masks.  They surround the ring.  Ambrose makes mocking faces.  He says the more things change, the more they stay the same.  He says that these disgusting, vermin people should be listening to him.  He says that everything he said was going to happen, happened.  Ambrose says that Rollins failed and choked.  Ambrose says that he has an obligation to let Rollins come out here and be a man of integrity.  He says that Rollins has an obligation to say that Dean was right and Seth was wrong.  The crowd begins chanting 'Burn It Down.'

Nothing happens.

Dean Ambrose says how about an open challenge?  He tells him to come on out.  Ambrose says that Rollins is no hero and that he's a selfish loser who cries when he doesn't get what he wants.  Ambrose says he has a new idea.  Ambrose says that he's going to have an open challenge for someone in the back to come out, not named Rollins.  Tyler Breeze comes out?

 

Intercontinental Championship

Breeze tackles Ambrose quickly before drilling kicks into Ambrose in the corner.  Breeze clotheslines Ambrose over the top rope to the floor as we head to...

Commercials.

We come back to Dean stomping on Breeze.  He applies a STF before stomping on the fingers of Breeze.  Ambrose locks a headlock on Breeze.  Breeze breaks out and rolls up Ambrose for a two count.  Breeze rolls him up again for a two count.  Breeze nails a Beauty Shot, but he doesn't go for a pin.  Breeze nails a crossbody from the top for a two count.  Breeze nails another Beauty Shot for a two count.  Ambrose shakes his head as Breeze goes for some move that is reversed into a Dirty Deeds for the three count!

Winner (and STILL Champion):  Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose says that that was a performance by a champion.  Seth Rollins' music plays as three of the masked men guard the entrance.  Dean is whipped around by one of the masked men who nails him with a superkick!  He removes the mask to reveal Seth Rollins!  The other three masked SWAT members attack, but they're knocked back by Seth.  Seth and Dean stare off.

Shane McMahon is backstage before he's interrupted by The Authors of Pain and Drake Maverick.  Drake says that The AOP are deserved of a mandatory rematch.  Shane says that they can earn a shot by winning a fatal-4-way tag team match here tonight against The B-Team, The Revival, and Lucha House Party.

Six wrestlers are on their way to WWE as announced by a still image.  EC3, Otis Dozovic, Tucker Knight, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, and Lars Sullivan are the six.

A video package is shown for all six coming soon to WWE.  Lars Sullivan, Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross, EC3 all get video packages highlighting them for their debut soon!

We come back to the ring to show Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley in the ring.  Bobby has the guitar from last night in his hand.  It's broken in half, but Lio says that the best sound ever was the sound of that guitar breaking.  A still is shown of the guitar breaking over the back of Lashley on the screen.  Lio says that they didn't come to hear Elias play a song.  Lio says that The Almighty Bobby Lashley is here to give them a performance like they've never seen before.  Lio Rush tells them to silence their cell phones and shut their mouths.  Lashley and Lio clear the ring before Lashley begins doing bodybuilder positions as Lio compares the body of Bobby to Elias like rival team to local team.  Lashley bends over and slaps his own butt as Lio laughs.  The crowd cheers as Elias is announced.  Elias smashes a guitar over the back of Bobby.  Elias rolls out of the ring as he grins at Bobby who is furious.

The Lucha House Party is shown backstage heading to the ring with a pinata.  That is next!

The B-Team vs. Lucha House Party vs. The Revival vs. The Authors of Pain

 

The match starts with Curtis Axel and Lince Dorado for a few seconds before Dawson and Kalisto take over.  Dawson taunts the Lucha House Party before Dawson hits a few snap suplexes.  Dash Wilder tags in before they're both taken down with a big double DDT.  Kalisto tags out.  Rezar tags in.  The Authors of Pain brutalize Lince with a big lifting spinebuster into the corner!

Commercials.

We come back with Lince being stretched out with a Gorey Special by Dash Wilder.  Lince fights out with an arm drag.  Lince kicks Dash, but Curtis has tagged in.  Lince hits a handspring stunner on Curtis!  Bo Dallas comes in as does Kalisto.  Kalisto his a springboard crossbody.  Kalisto his a springboard corkscrew!  Kalisto is on fire!  He nails some kicks before Scott Dawson sends Kalisto out after tagging in.  Bo unleashes on Dawson and begins cheering for The B-Team.  Dallas plants Dawson for a two count.  Dash interfered to stop it.  Kalisto hits a tilt-a-whirl DDT onto Dash.  Rezar enters the ring and is cleared by Dallas and Dawson.  Akam rushes towards them and tumbles over the top rope.  The Lucha House party are sent over the top rope as well!  Dallas keeps rolling up Dash in the ring before Dawson tags in.  The Revival hits The Shatter Machine for the three count on Dallas!

Winners (and NEW #1 Contenders):  The Revival

Seth Rollins is shown backstage.  He's asked about last night.  He says last night was a disaster.  He says that he let Dean Ambrose get inside of his head and take his championship.  He says that he heard everything the crowd said, and that he has to own up to what they said.  Rollins says that this is what he loves and what he dedicated everything to.  Seth says that it's gone off the rails, and he's going to right the ship.  He says he's going to end Dean Ambrose.

He turns into Baron Corbin.  Baron says that Seth is the reason everything has gone to crap.  He says that he'd take the Intercontinental Championship from Rollins, but Dean already did.  Seth just laughs and then pushes Corbin into the sign behind them.  Corbin clutches at his head as it fades away.

Ronda Rousey is up next!

Commercials.

Ronda Rousey makes her way out as we come back.  They show a video of Ronda tapping out Nia at TLC before showing her tipping the ladder of Becky and Charlotte.  Ronda has a microphone as the crowd cheers and boos.  Ronda says that she told Nia that she could kiss that right hand goodbye.  Ronda says that she told Charlotte she would write the next chapter of their story.  She says that she told Becky not to provoke her.  Ronda says that she came here to define what a real champion is.  She says a real champion is more than just a title or an object you can hold.  She says that that is more than just a win or an outcome.  She says that a champion represents the limit.  She says a real champion is the best that the human race has to offer.  The crowd chants Becky.  Ronda smirks.  Ronda suggests a new tradition.  She suggests that the champion should defend right after the PPV.  She offers an open challenge!  All of the women are shown backstage arguing to enter the ring.  Stephanie tells them to shut up and follow her.  She says that it'll be a Gauntlet!

 

GAUNTLET MATCH
Bayley vs. Alicia Fox

 

Fox is rolled up quick for a two count.  Bayley gets another roll-up for a two count.  Fox kicks Bayley before slamming her to the mat.  Fox hits a snapmare followed by a pin for a two count.  Fox goes for the axe kick and misses.  Bayley hits a Bayley-to-back suplex for a two count.

Commercials.

We come back as Fox is beating up Bayley with kicks.  Bayley is whipped across the ring before Fox misses a big splash.  Bayley rolls up Fox for a two count.  Fox chokes Bayley in the second rope.  Fox slaps Bayley a bit before getting dropped across the top rope.  Fox nails a kick to the side of Bayley's head for a two count.  Bayley rolls up Fox for a three count!

Dana Brooke is next!

Bayley vs. Dana Brooke

Brooke nails a kick to the back of Bayley's head.  She unloads on Bayley before hooking her legs around the waist of Bayley.  Bayley throws elbows back to stop her.  Brooke slams her head into the top turnbuckle before kicking her ribs.  Brooke covers her for a two count.  Dana slaps Bayley before Bayley hits the Bayley-to-Belly for the three count!

Bayley vs. Mickie James

We come back to the ring to see James nailing a neckbreaker for a two count.  James misses a charge into the ropes before getting pinned for a two count.  James hits a big superkick for a two count.  Bayley hits a belly-to-back suplex to stop the big DDT from James.  James tries for a baseball slide, but she gets caught by a knee to the chin.  Bayley climbs to the top rope, but she slips off the top.  Bayley climbs back up and hits a big crossbody!  Bayley nails a running knee strike to James in the corner.  She turns around up top before nailing a diving elbow for a two count as James grabs the bottom rope.  James punches Bayley away, but Bayley hits a stunner through the ropes!  James hits an elbow to Bayley followed by the James DDT for the three count!

Mickie James vs. Ember Moon

Moon rushes to the ring and stops her with a big dropkick.  James begins choking out Moon in the corner with her boot.  Moon gets out and misses a kick before James misses a forearm smash.  Moon springs from the second rope with a crossbody for a two count.  James kicks Moon before trying to powerbomb her from the apron!  James gives up on this and yanks her down onto the apron on her belly!

Commercial.

Back, and Moon slams James leaving both ladies down.  Moon kicks James in the midsection before kicking her in the face.  Moon rolls her up for a two count.  James rolls up Moon and grabs the ropes, but the referee catches her.  James hits a flapjack maneuver before kipping up to her feet.  James leaps from the top rope and catches a knee from Ember!  Ember nails an Eclipse for a three count!

Ember Moon vs. Natalya

Natalya slides in and catches a discus elbow for a two count.  Moon applies a chinlock.  Natalya fights out and lifts up Moon, but Moon fights out.  Natalya catches a kick from Moon before Moon climbs up and hits a spinning suplex for a two count!  Ember climbing to the top rope, but Natalya charges her.  Natalya nails a discus clothesline for a two count!  Natalya tries for the Sharpshooter, but Moon kicks her and rolls her up for a two count.  Natalya rolls up Ember moon to eliminate her!

Natalya vs. Ruby Riott

The Riott Squad comes out as we head into...

Commercials.

We come back to see Riott applying a waistlock on Natalya.  Riott transitions it into a guillotine choke!  Natalya lifts her up and nails a body slam.  The two rush at each other before clotheslining each other to the floor.  Riott kicks Natalya in the corner, but Natalya rolls her up for a two count.  Riott applies a headlock before Natalya breaks out of it.  Ruby nails a knee to Nattie's face.  Riott slaps the chin of Natalya before rolling up Natalya for a two count.  Natalya lifts up Ruby, but Riott rolls through for a pin for two.  Natalya clotheslines Ruby before hitting a snap suplex.  She nails a second before slapping Riott.  She whips her into the corner.  Riott nails a side slam to stop her.  Riott tries for a reverse senton that misses before Natalya rolls up Ruby Riott for a three count!

Natalya vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha catches Natalya with a clothesline!  Sasha nails some dropkicks.  Sasha catches Natalya in the corner before driving her into the mat with her knees!  Sasha climbs up and misses a move before getting rolled up by Natalya for a two count.  Sasha hits a tilt-a-whirl DDT for a two count!

Commercials.

Natalya nails a dropkick before covering Sasha for a two count.  Natalya nails a clothesline for a two count!  Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter and applies it!  Banks teases tapping before getting the ropes.  Sasha rolls up Natalya into a single-leg Boston crab!  Natalya crawls to the ropes, but Sasha rolls up Natlaya before applying the Bank Statement!  Natalya is reaching out and grabs the ropes!  Sasha nails Meteora for a two count!  Natalya hits a reverse powerbomb before applying a Sharpshooter in the center of the ring.  Banks taps out!

Winner of the Gauntlet:  Natalya

Ronda Rousey comes out and hugs Natalya before shaking her hand.  Next week it'll be Ronda Rousey vs. Natalya.  Also, Paul Heyman will be here next week.  Rollins vs. Corbin next week.  Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Finn Balor next week.

The show ends with Natalya celebrating on the entrance ramp.
