Both Joey Ryan and IWGP US Champion Cody Rhodes went down with injuries that would keep them out of their matches at this weekend's World Series Wrestling events in Australia.
Joey Ryan is out with a torn left pectoral muscle that required surgery, while Cody has a large meniscus tear in his knee that he's currently rehabbing. Cody is planning to undergo surgery for it in January. He also has a match at Final Battle against ROH Champ Jay Lethal on December 14th. Cody has a to be announced match at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4th.
Both men agreed to do a meet and greet event in Australia despite being injured and did an in-ring segment.
