Why The WWE Evolution Pay-Per-View Production Felt Different

Sunday's WWE Evolution pay-per-view felt different from most WWE PPVs with many likening to an NXT event and there was a good reason for that.

According to PWInsider the event felt different because the usual stage, lighting and set pieces that WWE use for all events was required in North Carolina for Raw and SmackDown, and given the fact, the Evolution event was added late there was no logistical way for them to plan how to get what they required from North Carolina to New York.

In addition, the NXT production crew were in charge and WWE producer and director Kevin Dunn was also reportedly not backstage and had no involvement in the direction of the show.

Vince McMahon was still reportedly calling the shots in the gorilla position with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
