WWE Championship Match Taking Place On SmackDown Live Right Now

SmackDown Live kicked off tonight with Shane Mcmahon interrupting an in-ring confrontation between Crown Jewel WWE Championship combatants, A.J. Styles and Daniel Bryan. Mcmahon announced that the match originally scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia this Friday would happen right now. As is usually the case when WWE Championship matches take place on TV, it was hyped as a shocking announcement but given that Daniel Bryan's refusal to participate in Crown Jewel is now widely known, this wasn't exactly unexpected. Bryan's replacement at Crown Jewel has yet to be announced but it is still expected that a WWE Championship match will be a main event on the card.
