Michael Cole will be commenting at WWE's Evolution pay per view, due to his decades of experience behind the desk.
Cole will be calling the play-by-play alongside Renee Young and Beth Phoenix, as the company holds it's first all-female pay per view.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cole was chosen as Young and Phoenix both have limited experience on commentary, and the company does not want either woman to look weak.
Young, who became the first-ever woman to have a permanent commentary role on RAW, recently came out in support of the decision, saying equality means everyone.
Yeah, just because it’s an all women’s PPV doesn’t mean we’re banning the men. We’re all celebrating the women’s achievements. And there have been men that have been a big help in the achievements that all of the women have made too. It’s a team effort. Equality = everyone😉

Johnson also stated that the decision for an established commentator was between Cole and Mauro Ranallo.
WWE Evolution will take place this Sunday (October 28) and will see every women's title in WWE defended, as well as the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic.
