On tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns made the shocking and surprising announcement that he will be relinquishing the WWE Universal Championship due to a returning diagnosis of leukemia.
Speaking to the crowd, Reigns stated that he had been living with leukemia for the past 11 years and that it had recently returned.
He also told the crowd that he would beat the disease and return to WWE “very, very soon.”
Unfortunately, this means that Reigns will not be able to compete at the upcoming Crown Jewel event, and he very likely will be unable to compete at the upcoming Starrcade event as well.
