Last week there was a report about WWE Superstars privately expressing their concern about flying to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel event on November 2nd.
In response to this, WWE issued a statement on Monday which said, “As always, we maintain an open line of communication with our performers, as we continue to monitor the situation.”
On Monday's Raw, there was no mention of Saudi Arabia but they carried on with World Cup qualifying matches and the event looks set to go ahead as planned.
WWE has apparently no plans right now to cancel the event but they do have a backup plan should they need to make a last minute change.
It will be interesting to see if they take any action this week when a supposed report from the Saudi government will be issued, in which they will claim the death of missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi was an accident.
