Wrestling legend Don Leo Jonathan has passed away at the age of 87, according to the Cauliflower Alley Club.
Known as "The Mormon Giant", Jonathan held numerous championships in the National Wrestling Alliance throughout his career, including the Omaha, Nebraska version of the World Heavyweight Championship in the early 1960s.
His final match was when he teamed with Andre the Giant and Roddy Piper to defeat The Sheepherders (better known as The Bushwhackers) and Buddy Rose in Vancouver on March 10th, 1980.
Jonathan had been inducted into numerous wrestling Halls of Fame during his lifetime, including the Stampede Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, and The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Hall of Fame.
