As of September 18th, 2018, Mark and Jay Briscoe have held the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships for over 1,000 days between their nine reigns as champions.
Arguably the greatest tag team in ROH history, The Briscoes have been with Ring of Honor since the promotion's inception back in 2002.
The following comes from ROHWrestling.com:
Not many champions have a comma in the total number of days they’ve held a title. Then again, there aren’t many champions like Jay and Mark Briscoe.
The Briscoes achieved an extraordinary milestone on Sept. 18 when they reached 1,000 days as ROH World Tag Team Champions over nine title reigns. That adds up to more than two-and-a-half years that they have held the titles in one of the deepest tag team divisions in the industry.
The list of teams Dem Boys from Sandy Fork, Del., have defeated in title matches over the past 15 years reads like a who’s who of the best tag teams in wrestling, including The Young Bucks, Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero), Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas), American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards), Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) and Kevin Steen and El Generico.
The Briscoes also have successfully defended their titles against “dream teams” such as Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Joe, Danielson and Nigel McGuinness, and Jay Lethal and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Another top tag team on that list is two-time former ROH World Tag Team Champions The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian). They’ve been embroiled in a heated rivalry with the Briscoes as of late and will get another title shot against the them at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Sept. 28.
Here’s a look at the Briscoes’ amazing run as tag team champions by the numbers:
18 -- Mark Briscoe’s age when he and Jay won their first ROH World Tag Team Title in 2003; Jay was 19
49 -- Successful title defenses
5 -- Countries where they have competed in ROH World Tag Team Title matches: United States, Canada, Japan, England and Scotland
9 -- Different teams they defeated for their nine titles
275 -- Days for their longest reign
193 -- Days for their current reign
672 -- Days for the No. 2 team (reDRagon -- Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish) on the list of combined days as ROH World Tag Team Champions
3 -- Times they won the titles at Final Battle: 2009, over American Wolves; 2011, over Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team; 2012, over Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino
