Update on Former Divas Champion A.J. Lee Possibly Appearing at WWE Evolution PPV

There have been rumors over the past few weeks that WWE officials have reached out to former three-time WWE Divas Champion A.J. Lee about possibly appearing at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view on October 28th.

In an update on that, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated the following:

“Regarding this week’s rumors, the idea of A.J. Lee in the Evolution PPV would sound very difficult given the circumstances. As of two weeks ago, there was nothing to it and there were rumors, but it sounded like a very difficult deal.

“The whole situation with the lawsuit against her husband (C.M. Punk) would seem to make it almost impossible even with the suit being settled. Stranger things have happened but this would be high on that list.”
