Dave Meltzer Broadcasts 36 Minute Apology To WWE Superstar Peyton Royce

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has continued to apologize for comments he made about WWE Superstar Peyton Royce and her appearance, which caused a backlash on social media and a number of Royce's fellow colleagues jumping to her defense. 

Reddit user nivvd, transcribed some snippets of what Meltzer said.

“I’m completely sorry [basically the first thing he said].

No matter what I meant; it doesn’t matter, how I said it was wrong. I should not have said what I said.

What I meant is something different but that is neither here nor there. I feel horrible...When she said “do you want us to starve” it really hit me hard and I was so mad at myself. Those are the things I hate about the business, and there I was saying the things I hate....I’m really sorry and I don’t want to defend it.”
