Madison Rayne has said how she cried with joy after being chosen by WWE to compete in the upcoming Mae Young Classic.
Rayne said how being chosen was a caveat on an already incredible career.
She said: "It just feels really good after 13 years of really hard work and trying to find out who exactly I wanted to be in the ring... I feel like, after everything I’ve done, not to say this is the ending point, but this is such an awesome later chapter in the story of my career.”
Rayne is best known for her time in Impact, where she became a 5-time Knockouts Champion, as well as a 2-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion.
When asked about retirement, Rayne said how she didn't want to be a wrestler who declined in the ring over time.
"I didn’t feel like I was that, but for the first time, I think I was in my professional career at a point where I was unsure. I think that those moments, maybe a lack of clarity and being unsure, can really propel you in one direction or another," she told TV Insider.
