Impact star Kiera Hogan has said that Ember Moon and WWE stole her 'fire' gimmick, in an interview with Fightful.com.
Hogan said that she was shocked to see Moon debut with the gimmick at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2.
She said: "I saw her come out and my heart literally dropped. I knew what was coming after that. I got tweets, DMs, saying ‘You’re the ripoff version, you’re the cheap version of Ember Moon.’"
"She’s taken something that I’ve worked so hard to make my own, now I’m the ripoff version."
When asked if she thought WWE or Ember took the 'Girl On Fire' gimmick, Hogan said how she thought WWE pushed it onto Becky Lynch, but Moon took it from Hogan herself.
"I saw her sign her contract, she cried when she signed her contract. After the tryout she text me and said ‘I wanna help you get booked on shows,’ after that I’ve never spoken to her and that was almost four years ago," she said.
Despite this, Hogan said she does not think this has harmed her chances in WWE, but is happy where she is in Impact.
"I’m going to keep doing me. Impact knocked on my door first, and I’m happy to be there."
