According to Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, when Raw Superstars Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan make their respective returns to television from their injuries, WWE officials are currently planning on reuniting them with their former tag team partners. Jordan will be reunited with Chad Gable as American Alpha, and Ambrose will be reunited with Seth Rollins as two-thirds of The Shield.

Alvarez said the following on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live:

"The last I heard was it was gonna be Jordan and Gable again, and Rollins and Ambrose as the teams. Not Rollins and Jordan again."
