In an update on the story involving former Impact Wrestling Knockout Ayako Hamada, F4WOnline.com/The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that she actually was not sentenced to 18 months in prison, but rather three years of probation with the possibility of 18 months in prison if she violates her probation.
She also informed the Japanese media, including Toyko Sports, that she's going to be retiring from professional wrestling because of the situation. She is hoping to find work as an interpreter/translator, as she is fluent in both Japanese and Spanish.
