Masa Saito, a two-time WWF Tag Team Title holder with Mr. Fuji in the early '80s, has died at the age of 76 following complications from an eighteen year battle with Parkinson's disease.
His death was announced in the Japanese wrestling publication Weekly Pro Wrestling. In addition to his WWF in tag team success, Saito was also a former two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion and a former AWA World Heavyweight Champion which he captured in 1990.
He also competed in a legendary match against Antonio Inoki on a deserted island in Japan that lasted for more than two hours.
His final match was against Scott Norton in 1999.
