According to a report from CBSNews.com, former WWE Superstar and former powerlifting World Champion Tom Magee was brutally assaulted by half a dozen men over a parking dispute.
The 59-year-old reportedly suffered a broken jaw, a broken eye socket and a concussion.
A neighbor who witnessed the incident gave the following statement:
"To me, it was attempted murder. If we wouldn't have come out here I don't know if he would be alive. To look at his face if you saw his face right now and saw what they were doing to him, he's really lucky to be alive."
Magee enjoyed considerable success as a powerlifter back in the 1980's before signing with WWE, known back then as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), in 1986. Magee's WWE career was rather uneventful, and he ended up leaving the company in 1990. He also briefly spent some time wrestling in Japan, as well as Stu Hart's Stampede Wrestling in Canada.
