Former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Ayako Hamada has been arrested for substance abuse, according to several Japanese news outlets.
Hamada tested positive for drugs and admitted to snorting them, after initially telling a promoter for Pro-Wrestling WAVE that she would miss a show due as four men were holding her at knifepoint.
Whilst she made her excuse, she rambled incoherently and in a strange manner, according to the Tokyo Reporter.
Due to her arrest, Pro-Wrestling WAVE have released her, as well as Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling stripping her of their World Championship.
Hamada is best known in western culture for her time in TNA between 2009-2010, where she became a two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion, once with Awesome Kong and once with Taylor Wilde.
