WWE NXT Live Results (5/9)

Opening Show Promo

Ricochet opens the show as he makes his way to the ring. Ricochet says it was his mission to get people to talk about his after Wrestlemania weekend. He says he wants to take over this brand. He says there is only one thing on his mind: the NXT championship. The Velveteen Dream comes out. Dream asks who does he think he is for declaring himself as a #1 contender for the title. Dream says to get back in line. He tells Ricochet there is one experience and that's the Dream. Dream says no matter how Ricochet flips or flops he better stay in line behind the Dream. Ricochet gives him props for making the current NXT champion say his name after he kicked Dream's head off. Ricochet says now that he is here, he will steal Dream's show and spotlight. Dream says Ricochet can try but anything he can do the Dream can do better. Ricochet tells him to prove it. Dream is about to strike but then leaves the ring. 

Raul Mendoza vs. EC3

Raul goes from behind and gets a side head lock. EC3 pushes him off and Raul lands a head scissors. Raul dodges all of EC3's moves and hits a springboard drop kick. EC3 catches Raul and slams him down. EC3 dominates and lands a rolling neck snap. Raul lands a jaw breaker and starts to get back into it. Raul lands a drop kick and charges at EC3 but gets lifted into the top turnbuckle. EC3 lands a knee to the face followed by the 1% for the win.

Winner: EC3.

EC3 is interviewed and says adversity is what makes a man and he is a man. He says he will get victory after victory until he turns NXT into NX3. He says he is the best anywhere, the top 1% and he is EC3.

Footage from last week is shown of Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch asking Pete Dunne to team up with them against The Undisputed Era. Pete just walks away from them.

Dakota Kai vs. Vanessa Borne

Both women lock up. Borne gets a head lock but Kai gets out and drop kicks her. Borne gets Kai and throws her down. Borne pounds away at Kai and lands a neck breaker. Borne covers but gets a 2. Borne has a double arm stretch on Kai. Kai gets out and kicks away at Borne. Kai lands a kick to the face as Borne was in the corner. Kai bounces off the ropes and does a sunset flip into a back breaker for the win.

Winner: Dakota Kai.

Shayna Baszler comes out and makes her way to the ring as Dakota looks at her in fear. Shayna goes near Dakota but then backs away and chokes out Borne. Dakota leaves in fear.

Cathy Kelly interviews Dakota and she says she froze as soon as she saw Shayna. Shayna comes from behind and intimidates her by telling to do something. Shayna leaves and a laugh is heard. It's Nikki Cross laughing at Dakota.

Heavy Machinery vs. War Raiders

Rowe and Otis start off. Otis lands a fore arm and so does Rowe. All four men brawl in the ring. Heavy Machinery irish whip them but Hanson ends up taking out Tucker and Otis. Otis gets beaten up in the corner and Rowe tosses Hanson into Otis in the corner. Hanson is in control until he gets thrown by otis. Tucker comes in and battles both War Raiders. Tucker goes for a clothesline on Hanson but he ducks and dives onto Otis. Rowe lands a knee to Tucker and War Raiders land their finisher on Tucker for the win.

Winners: War Raiders.

Kassius Ohno is shown preparing for his match.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kassius Ohno

Ohno and Ciampa immediately lock up and Ohno goes on the attack. Ohno beats up Ciampa on the outside with elbows and kicks. Ciampa tries to escape and gets a baseball drop kick from Ohno. Ohno dominates until Ciampa catches him with a kick to the gut and pounds away. Ciampa gets whipped to the buckle and Ohno hits him with a suplex. Ohno lands a Senton splash onto Ciampa. Ciampa trips Ohno and beats him down from the apron. Ciampa stomps away at the head of Ohno from the apron. Ciampa lands a shotgun drop kick. Ciampa tries to scrape the eyes of Ohno and puts him in a head lock. Ohno gets knees into the face by Ciampa and chops to the chest. Ohno counters a chop and lands an elbow. Ohno battles back with elbows and kicks. Ohno lands a vicious kick to the head. Ohno drives his elbow into the head of Ciampa and pushes his boot onto Ciampa. Ohno drives his exposed knee into Ciampa's eye. Ohno puts him on the turnbuckle and gives him a vicious chop. Ohno has him in his grasp and slams him down. Ohno covers and gets a 2. Ohno kicks away at him. Ciampa hides behind the referee and lands a elbow to Ohno. Ciampa digs away at Ohno's eye while the ref isn't looking. Ohno counters Ciampa with a kick and tries to go for the Flying Elbow but Ciampa moves out of the way and knees him in the back of the head. Ciampa covers but gets a 2 count. Both battle and strike each other back and forth. Ciampa lands a clothesline to Ohno and hits a reverse neck breaker for the 1.. 2.. 3.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa.

Ciampa takes his knee brace off and chokes Ohno with it. Ciampa leaves the ring laughing at what he did.
