Brie Bella: Daniel Bryan Was Too Excited To Sleep The Night Before WrestleMania

Brie Bella has said that her husband Daniel Bryan was too excited to sleep, before competing in his return match at WrestleMania 34.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Brie said how Bryan's passion was what got him back in the ring, after having to retire in 2016 due to neck injuries.

She said: "I told him, ‘Think of everything you’ve done to get here.’ So to go from one night where we couldn’t sleep because we were both so sad to another night where we couldn’t sleep because we were so excited, that was so crazy. I’m so proud of him."

The former Divas Champion, who retired following WrestleMania 32 said she was honored to be asked to appear in the Women's Royal Rumble, this January.

"I couldn’t believe I could get in the ring with Lita, Trish, and Asuka. I still can’t believe my name was on the same list as Molly Holly," she told SI.

For much of her career, Brie was either teaming with or feuding with her sister Nikki, who has received mainstream attention following her breakup with John Cena.

Brie said that the latest season of their reality show 'Total Bellas', will touch on some of the reasons behind the breakup.

She said: "I give them a lot of credit for opening up their lives. We all told ourselves we had to be an open book. If you’re going to do reality, you need to do the good and the bad."
