Wrestling legend Paul Jones reportedly passed away yesterday at the age of 75.
As longtime wrestling fans might be aware, Jones had a memorable career in the southern wrestling territories for over 30 years from 1961 until his retirement in 1991. He held numerous championships in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), including the NWA United States Championship and NWA Television Championship.
He was also a top manager in Jim Crockett Promotions as the leader of Paul Jones' Army, which included Rick Rude, Abdullah the Butcher, "Superstar" Billy Graham, Ivan Koloff, Baron von Raschke, The Warlord, The Barbarian, Manny Fernandez, Teijo Khan, Vladimir Petrov, Shaska Whatley, The Assassins and The Russian Assassins.
