The Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view is looking like one of the most stacked cards outside of WrestleMania and things are about to get a whole lot bigger, because today PWInsider has confirmed that former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio will be appearing at the event April 27.
Mysterio and WWE have been in talks for the last few months since his surprise appearance during January's Royal Rumble but a bicep injury halted any potential return at WrestleMania. Mysterio had indicated to the company he should be recovered in time to make his return in Saudi Arabia.
At this stage, it remains unknown the terms of his deal given he still has commitments to New Japan Pro Wrestling, so it could be a one-off appearance for now but it's likely any deal Mysterio does sign will be part-time as at his stage in his career he wouldn't be able to commit to the road full time.
The Greatest Royal Rumble will air with a pre-show from 11 pm eastern on April 27 and it will stream live on the WWE Network.
