At tonight's WWE WrestleMania 34 event, SmackDown LIVE Superstar AJ Styles successfully defended the WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura won the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble Match back in January at the Royal Rumble event to earn the opportunity to challenge for a championship of his choosing at tonight's event. After emerging victorious, Nakamura stated that he wanted to face Styles for the WWE Championship.
Following the match, it appeared as though Nakamura was about to hand Styles the championship belt, but Nakamura then hit Styles with a low blow and attacked him, eventually hitting him with a Kinshasa Knee Strike outside the ring.
