There was a time when a wrestler interacting with the crowd was commonplace and in fact during much of the 90s the baying audience often gave as good as they got, but that is rarely seen these days on television or at your local independent shows quite possibly because of incidents like what took place at this past weekend's Impact Wrestling promoted show.
A wrestler named Devin Danger was attacked by a fan during his entrance when he spat gum which hit a young kid. The Father of the young girl took offense to this and threw punches at Danger before they were split apart.
The wrestler involved in the incident tweeted an apology last night, "I apologized to the girl & her father the night it happened. The gum wasn’t intended to hit her, that was an accident. I am again very sorry."
