Big E Reveals Original Gimmick Pitched To Him When He Joined WWE

Big E has become one the most popular and well-liked WWE Superstars over the last several years alongside his tag partners Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods (The New Day), but things could have taken a whole different path had The 5-time WWE Tag Team Champion been assigned the original gimmick the company had planned for him.

Big E today revealed on Twitter that there were plans for him to work a postal worker character under the name of Mel Mann (get it?) ...maybe it was best it never saw the light of day!

Almost 9 years ago, when I got signed, my very first pitch was to be a wrestling postal worker named Mel Mann. Shockingly, it was shot down.
