ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship Ladder Match Added to Supercard of Honor XII

Ring of Honor Wrestling has announced a Six-Man Tag Team Championship Ladder Match for Supercard of Honor XII on April 7th.

For nearly a year, The Young Bucks, one of the greatest teams in Ring of Honor history just gearing up to hit the peaks of their career, have teased and played “harmless ribs” on then-blue-chip prospect Flip Gordon on their popular YouTube series Being the Elite. Matt Jackson, in particular, would “welcome” Flip to Ring of Honor and each week, Gordon was left skeptical of the Young Bucks and Bullet Club as he went from blue-chip prospect to bonafide international star.

But as Bullet Club begins to be surrounded by question marks, an odd relationship has begun to be formed. The Young Bucks saved Gordon from an attack by SoCal Uncensored on ROH Television in Atlanta and then again in Las Vegas. While Gordon turned down a handshake in Atlanta, the usual trigger for a Superkick or an attack on Gordon, Gordon shook the hand of Matt Jackson in Las Vegas and an alliance, however tenuous or temporary, was formed.

With the Kingdom barred from Supercard of Honor, SoCal Uncensored were left without a title match on the biggest card in ROH history. And with Adam Page already facing Kota Ibushi, the Young Bucks seemed like a perfect fit to get a rematch but no longer had a partner. So by the power of the ROH Enforcer Bully Ray, Flip Gordon and The Young Bucks will team up to face SoCal Uncensored for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships but, since SCU outsmarted the Young Bucks to get their specialty match at 16th Anniversary, Bully Ray has made this match the Young Bucks’ specialty match and these six men will do battle in the first-ever LADDER MATCH for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships at Supercard of Honor, broadcasting LIVE for HonorClub!

The ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions SoCal Uncensored played strategic mind games to coax Adam Page and The Young Bucks into SoCal Uncensored’s specialty match, a Vegas Street Fight, at 16th Anniversary. This bout allowed SoCal Uncensored to bring their brand of violence and numbers-based attacks to Sin City and capture the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships. And gold is what they need right now.

Because Daniels and Kazarian threatened to release industry secrets and ROH expansion plans, the duo has been told by COO Joe Koff that both will be gone once their contracts expire, as letting their contracts expire offers more legal protection than firing the duo. Both are signed through Final Battle 2018 and as the clock ticks, the one way to maintain employment is to cling to championship gold and maintain small points of leverage they may obtain.

As the months turn into weeks and weeks inevitably turn into days, SoCal Uncensored looks to cling to gold as time ticks away. But in their immediate future stands a trio of the highest-flying, most-explosive, in-your-face athletes in Ring of Honor history! And more importantly, two athletes that know SCU perhaps better than anyone!

The Young Bucks have made the Ladder Match their specialty and know Daniels, Kaz, and Scorpio Sky perhaps better than anyone on the ROH roster, with the wars between the Bucks and the Addiction being extremely well-documented! It remains to be seen if the Bucks and Flip Gordon will be able to find the continuity, and most importantly trust, to capture the World Six-Man Tag Team Championships but if they can find the same page, there is perhaps no trio more dangerous in ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship competition!
