Rey Mysterio was originally scheduled to face Jushin Thunder Liger at tonight's NJPW Strong Style Evolved but was forced to pull out of the match after suffering a biceps injury. Mysterio still appeared at the event in Long Beach, California to address the crowd and apologize for missing the event due to injury.
Mysterio added that he wants the match to happen in the future and will be back to wrestle for NJPW when he is healed.

Mysterio sat ringside to watch Will Ospreay defeat Liger, who then challenged Mysterio for a match with the NJPW Junior Heavyweight title on the line. Marty Scurll then attacked Mysterio and took his mask off!
