Austin Aries Appears at ROH 16-Year Anniversary Show, Did Impact Wrestling Approve of This?

Impact Wrestling World Champion and former Ring of Honor Wrestling World Champion Austin Aries made a surprise appearance at last night's ROH 16-year Anniversary Show and told Kenny King that he wants a shot at King's ROH World Television Championship.

According to a report from PWInsider.com, ROH does not have a working relationship with Impact Wrestling at the moment. The reason why Aries was able to appear at the show is because Aries is not under any sort of exclusive contract with Impact Wrestling, so they couldn't legally prevent him from appearing at the show.

PWInsider.com also reported that Impact Wrestling officials are actually happy that Aries made the appearance at the show, because they are hoping that it could be the start of a relationship between the two companies. They even reportedly gave their blessing to Aries to bring the Impact World Championship title belt with him to the show.
