WWE Release Abbey Laith From NXT Contract

Former Mae Young Classic competitor and NXT wrestler Abbey Laith has been released by WWE, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. Laith was only recently signed to a WWE deal in January 2017 and there had been high hopes for her in NXT.

It is unknown at this stage why she was released, although it might have also come as a surprise to her as she had been promoting NXT on her social media up until yesterday. 

Laith will no doubt return to the independents where she formally competed as Kimber Lee. She is a former Chikara Grand Champion, has held women’s championships in promotions like JAPW and MCW, and held one half of the Tag Team Championship in both Shimmer and Shine.
