According to a report from F4WOnline.com/The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former three-time WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio has apparently suffered yet another injury.
Mysterio was working a match for Northeast Wrestling in Waterbury, Connecticut, which saw him teaming with Flip Gordon in a Tag Team Match against current Impact Wrestling star Caleb Konley and former WWE Tag Team Champion Joey Mercury.
At some point, Mysterio reportedly informed Mercury of the injury, and they ended up finishing the match with a double 619 on Mercury and Konley, and then Mysterio hit Konley with a Splash for the finish. Some spectators reportedly noticed a lot of swelling in Mysterio's arm after the match, and the word going around is that he tore his left biceps.
No word yet on how this might affect his rumored negotiations with WWE about a possible return for WrestleMania 34 (if those rumors were indeed accurate), but if Mysterio did suffer a torn biceps, it can take up to six months to fully recover from it.
It was also previously reported that Mysterio is scheduled to face the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger at the upcoming New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, California on March 25th. Depending on the severity of his injury, that match could now be in jeopardy as well.
