There is a strong suggestion that a recent report from Justin Barrasso of SI.com which claimed Rey Mysterio will be returning for WrestleMania 34 against John Cena may actually be false information from a dubious source, although Barrasso is sticking by that source.
His report late on Tuesday evening also claimed The Undertaker has been ruled out of a match at WrestleMania and thus Cena requested to wrestle either Samoa Joe or Rey Mysterio, given that Joe is injured Mysterio was given the green light, Triple H is reportedly handling the negations for his return.
A number of other sources, including Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer are disputing aspects of Barrasso's story. Barrasso tweeted on Wednesday to a Twitter follower, "I have a lot of respect for Dave, but I stand by my sources."
There is even a suggestion that the story was purposely put out there by WWE as a smokescreen to throw people for when The Undertaker does make a surprise return.
As a website, we can only hope the sources we use are reputable given Barrasso works for SI.com that should at least be assurance enough. For now, John Cena vs. Undertaker is happening depending on who you want to believe!
We'll keep you update when we hear more.
