Backstage Update On Brock Lesnar Not Appearing On Monday's WWE Raw

As seen during Sunday's WWE Elimination Chamber event, Roman Reigns won the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans for the WWE Universal Title. It was fully expected that Reigns and Lesnar were going to meet face-to-face in the ring for a confrontation on last night's Raw in Anaheim, but that didn't happen to the disappointment of many.

WWE had been promoting Lesnar as appearing days before the event and even told fans in the arena last night that he was there. Paul Heyman had also heavily tested an appearance by "The Beast" to confront his WrestleMania opponent but something which isn't entirely clear happened and plans were changed.

Reigns cut a promo in the ring claiming that Lesner hides behind his contract and that he is getting close again to UFC's Dana White. It has been speculated that after WrestleMania Lesnar will return to UFC.

Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar isn't booked for next Monday's Raw in Milwaukee but he is booked for Detroit in two weeks. He added that the confrontation between Lesnar and Reigns was definitely scripted but something clearly changed very last minute. He added Reigns wasn't "shooting" during his promo.

We'll keep you update if we here more.
